My love for portraits photography, made me fall in love with sigma art85 1.4 because it gives me superior resolution and attractive bokeh. It’s my favourite lens, despite its weight when I mount it on my canon 5d mark iv. It’s a handy lens apart from portraits, I use it for general purpose photography like landscapes, event photography etc.
The body is very solid and the image quality is extremely sharp. It’s perfect if you are looking for a dreamy bokeh effect on your portrait’s images.
The wide aperture nature of this lens, allows me to capture beautiful images in darker settings. Initially, I had to connect with the Sigma USB dock to micro-adjust AF for all focus distances. Once fine-tuned, its works accurately.
Comparatively the price is super cool and the lens is nicely built. I have had it for more than two years and it works fine. I would greatly recommend this lens to any portrait photographer
